TV Filming / Gas Station Closure / Traffic Restrictions
On Monday, December 16th, the television series Law & Order: Organized Crime will be filming in Point Lookout. From approximately 6:30am to 10:30am, they will be shooting at the gas station, which will be CLOSED during that time. Please plan ahead if you need fuel.
In addition, please be aware that parking on Lido Boulevard will be restricted between the Deli and Baldwin Avenue, and there will also be parking restrictions on Baldwin Avenue and Parkside Drive near the gas station.
Lido Boulevard may experience intermittent closures for short periods as filming proceeds.
After the gas station scenes are completed, the production will move to 100 Mineola Avenue for the remainder of the day. The crew, consisting of about 120 people, will utilize the Town Beach Parking Lot as their base. You may notice increased activity and traffic in the affected areas.
While Town of Hempstead is fully responsible for issuing filming permits, we wanted to make sure you were fully aware to avoid any inconvenience on Monday.
