Travel Advisory – Loop Parkway Closure

On Friday, October 20^th, the Loop Parkway will be closed to facilitate an ongoing steel deck replacement project on the drawbridge over Long Creek. The road will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should follow the detour signs between the Long Beach barrier island and Long Island’s mainland via the Long Beach Bridge (Long Beach Boulevard connecting the City of Long Beach and the Village of Island Park). 

The electronic message signs near the bridge will display additional updates and information.
