As we gear up for another vibrant summer season, the Civic Association pauses to express heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of the Point Lookout Park Gate Project. This significant endeavor would not have been possible without the generous donations of time and resources from numerous individuals.

We begin by extending our deepest thanks to Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin and Councilman Christopher Carini for their pivotal roles in initiating and supporting this project. Their approval and initial funding were instrumental in its realization.

We are also immensely grateful to the Bohm family for providing the stone for the gate, the Urich family for their landscaping work at the new traffic circle, and the Doheny family for the forklift assistance in raising the gates. Their contributions were invaluable.

Special recognition goes to Civic Board members George Monasterio for his exceptional gate design, Craig Calo for his diligent work with the contractors, and Mary Goldberg for her visionary leadership and tireless efforts in orchestrating this project.

Above all, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire Point Lookout community for your generous donations and unwavering support throughout this endeavor.

Again, thank you to all who helped make this happen.

Hope to see you all at the park!
