2026 Jones Beach Air Show – JULY 4th WEEKEND – Expect Parkway Delays/Closures
To mark the United States 250th Anniversary, the 2026 FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach State Park will take place Sunday, July 5th, and Monday, July 6th, from 10AM-3PM. This event will NOT take place during Memorial Day weekend as it has in years past. The typically well attended practice dress rehearsal day will occur on Friday, July 3rd. Organizers are pleased to welcome back the Blue Angels as the show headliners for what is expected to be the largest Jones Beach air show in its 22 year history.
Point Lookout residents should anticipate extensive travel delays and possible closure of the Meadowbrook and Loop Parkways on each afternoon of the air show if Jones Beach reaches full capacity, which it has in the past if the weather has been favorable. Please plan your July 4th Weekend travel plans accordingly.
The Air Show being moved for the Nation’s Bisesquicentennial Celebration from Memorial Day to the already very busy July 4th Weekend will present numerous challenges for Point Lookout residents. The Civic Association will do our best to maintain open communication with State and Local Officials coordinating any potential parkway closures during the Air Show, and we’ll share any updates with residents as soon as information becomes available.
